The Chango veteran moves from programmatic to in-image advertising.

GumGum, the in-image Web advertising company, today named as its SVP of marketing Ben Plomion, a veteran of digital marketing and commerce who comes to the position from the programmatic ad platform Chango.

Plomion spent seven years early in his career at GE Capital, rising to become the company's manager of digital initiatives. He left there in 2011 to become director of marketing and partnerships at Chango, ultimately taking over as VP of marketing.

“Ben's connectivity to an expansive network of marketers and influencers will be instrumental in increasing GumGum's penetration into Ad Age's 100 largest advertising spenders,” commented GumGum CEO and founder Ophir Tanz, to whom Plomion will report.
